Red Mills Race Day returned with a bang on Feb 19th, with fashion, flutters, and fun guaranteed!

The return of Red Mills Race Day on February 19th, after two years, was really a turn-up for the books. It's easy to assume that the public was eager to return to Gowran Park for this much-anticipated event, as evidenced by record attendance.

With the public off and running in the fashion stakes, Marietta Doran, stylist, and presenter, was well-placed to present the highly anticipated fashion show on the day, showcasing the latest in racing style from Connolly’s Red Mills. There was something for everyone with a pop-up shop in the style tent brimming with must-have products from the Red Mills Store.

Connolly’s Red Mills hosted their biggest Best-Dressed competition yet, with several fully virtual categories, as well as in-person Best-Dressed competition with amazing prizes from Mount Juliet Estate, Dubarry, the Lord Bagenal Hotel and many more.

All finalists were presented before the fabulous Marietta and her fellow judge, celeb broadcaster and all-round man of style, Deric Hartigan, who had their work cut out for them.

Megan Conlon of Thomastown, County Kilkenny, won the top prize of an incredible stay at the Manor House at Mount Juliet Estate, complete with dinner in the Michelin starred Lady Helen restaurant, champagne on arrival, and a horse-riding excursion, after fierce deliberation. Megan wowed the judges with her Chanel inspired suit from River Island, which she borrowed from her sister, and matching hat from Penneys, as well as River Island boots.

Chris's elegant suit and shirt are from Cording's of Piccadilly, and he combined them perfectly with his Meadows & Byrne tie and field coat. Virginia and Chris won the wonderful prize of dinner for 2 at the Lord Bagenal Hotel in County Carlow.
