Inspiration Behind The Product
The Story
Winter conditions can be tough on horses’ legs. Equilibrium wanted to provide a simple solution for horse owners to keep their horses comfortable when standing in the stable, but convenient to use too.
FAQ
Do the Equi-Chaps come in pairs?
Yes the whole range, Close Contact Chaps, Stable Chaps and Hardy Chaps come in pairs.
Can I use Equi-Chaps instead of stable bandages to support my horses legs while recovering from injury?
If there is an open wound, it is not recommended to use the Equi-Chaps. If your horse has a strain or tendon injury and you need something for turning out, Equilibrium would recommend the Equi-Chap Close Contact Chaps as these will provide more support. Stable Chaps don’t provide the support you are after so best to follow the advice of your vet for box rest or stable time.
If my horses legs fill overnight in the stable, which Equi-Chap is best?
Equilibrium's Stable Chaps are designed to keep joints warm and maintain circulation. They recommend the Stable Chaps to be worn overnight as they are extremely soft and durable. You can also use the Magnetic Chaps while the horse is stabled overnight.
About Equilibrium
It all started when Timmy started frantically headshaking during ridden work shortly after he turned 5 years old. This lead to his owner, Margaret Donnelly, designing the Net Relief Muzzle Net to help him. Word got out about the Muzzle Net and how it helped Timmy and many other horses. Horse & Hound featured it and the phones started to go mad! Who would have thought one person trying to solve a problem with their horse could have such a large impact. From then on, Margaret realised she actually had lots of product ideas – Timmy was a source of inspiration! Fast forward 25 years and Equilibrium are still here with their core message of ‘Making a difference to horses’ lives.
