Hot on the heels of our record-breaking success at Red Mills Day, we’re gearing up for the most anticipated National Hunt Racing Festival of the year. We hope you can join us for our upcoming Cheltenham Preview, on March 9th from 7-8pm! We will be streaming this event live across our social media platforms, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, as well as Red Mills Horse and Gowran Park social media platforms.

When it comes to a Cheltenham Preview, we’re old hands at making sure we have a diverse offering of expert advice from the best in the business, as well as plenty of tips and tricks in the style stakes.

With Cheltenham taking place from March 14th – 17th, we’re just in time to get you prepared for the big event. There’s a total of 28 races set to take place over the four days, and we’re hoping to get the inside track from the people in the know!

Jane Davis, Connolly’s Red Mills Equine Marketing Manager, will be our wonderful host for the event and she will be joined by Jane Mangan, RTE and Racing TV pundit and Gowran Park Racecourse manager Eddie Scally. They all will be sharing their wisdom, advise, and possibly some tips ahead of the big festival.

Feel free to take notes and ask questions – we’re looking forward to sharing our knowledge on the day.

Set your reminder and get a comfortable seat on the couch because are looking to having you join us online for our Cheltenham Preview.

Common Questions About Grooming Dogs

It’s best to groom your dog daily, especially if they have long fur or are prone to shedding. Regular grooming helps manage shedding, prevent matting, and keep their coat healthy.

No, human shampoo can irritate your dog’s skin. Always use a dog-specific hypoallergenic shampoo to keep their skin healthy.

Start with short grooming sessions, use a grooming mitt instead of a brush, and reward your dog with treats. If necessary, consider using a calming supplement to help them relax.

Shaving your dog is generally not recommended unless it’s for medical reasons, as it can lead to sunburn and skin damage. If your dog’s coat is matted or they have a skin condition, consult a professional groomer.

There are various flea and tick treatments available, including topical treatments, oral medications, and collars. Consult your veterinarian to determine the best option for your dog.
