Inspiration Behind The Product

The Story

Have you heard of macaroons? Yes! Those nice little cookies we occasionally treat ourselves to? Well Equilibrium wanted horses to be able to enjoy a similar looking version, but one that was suitable for all and healthy. As a result, Crunchits ‘popped’ into existence after sourcing low sugar, molasses free ingredients and trialling which flavours horses liked the most.

FAQ

How should I feed Crunchits to my horse?

Crunchits can be fed as treats, with suggested quantities being 20 treats per day for a 250kg pony and 40 treats per day for a 500kg horse. Always provide plenty of fresh water.

Can all horses eat Crunchits?

Yes, Crunchits are suitable for all horses and ponies, especially those prone to laminitis or those on a low-calorie, low-sugar diet.

What makes Crunchits different from other horse treats?

Crunchits are unique due to their low sugar content and natural flavourings. They are free from molasses, making them suitable for horses on a restricted diet.

About Equilibrium

It all started when Timmy started frantically headshaking during ridden work shortly after he turned 5 years old. This lead to his owner, Margaret Donnelly, designing the Net Relief Muzzle Net to help him. Word got out about the Muzzle Net and how it helped Timmy and many other horses. Horse & Hound featured it and the phones started to go mad! Who would have thought one person trying to solve a problem with their horse could have such a large impact. From then on, Margaret realised she actually had lots of product ideas – Timmy was a source of inspiration! Fast forward 25 years and Equilibrium are still here with their core message of ‘Making a difference to horses’ lives.
