Connolly's RED MILLS New Horse Care Ultra Mix is a cereal grain-free, ultra-low starch conditioning mix with added RED MILLS Nutrition Care package. 

The Ultra Mix comes in a 20kg bag and is specifically formulated to support energy levels, muscle function, post-exercise recovery, condition, healthy gastric balance, bone strength, immune function and hoof quality.

The Ultra Mix is also high in digestible fibres and oil, is a palatable course mix and a source of quality protein and essential amino acids.

Feeding Guide

Choose your horse’s workload and feeding rate using the per 100 kg bodyweight column.

If you do not know your horse’s exact body weight, use the closest column to your horse in by horse weight column.

The Feeding rates are listed as the DRY WEIGHT, before soaking. Feed no more than 400g / 100kg bodyweight per meal.

• Mix with a minimum of 2 parts warm water to 1 part of Horse Care Mash
• Soak for 15 minutes before feeding

Horse Care Mash can be fed as a sole hard feed or to replace a proportion of an existing ration. Adjust the intake of the main concentrate accordingly.

How much Horse Care Ultra Mix should I feed my horse? 

Feeding recommendations will depend on your horse’s bodyweight, condition and workload. As a general guideline, a 500 kg horse in moderate work may be fed approximately 2–4 kg per day. Always refer to the feeding guidelines on the bag for precise recommendations.
