TRUST Equestrian Inno Sense Baby Pelham Port Medium Bit

The Baby Pelham is a cheekpiece with combined leverage on the poll, just behind the ears, and the chin. It can be used with one or two reins, but if you choose to ride with one rein, this must be done with a connection between the large and lower loose ring. The strap used for this is called a Pelham strap.

The greater the leverage effect, the bigger the impact. The Baby Pelham has short shanks and therefore it has a milder effect than the normal Pelham. This bit comes with a curb chain, which should be well-fitted.

Bits from the Inno Sense collection can be used for all horses, but are particularly suitable for young horses and horses with sensitive mouths.

The plastic used is FDA-approved, which means that the material is non-toxic and contains no plasticizers. Experience shows that horses ridden with an Inno Sense mouthpiece follow the hand easily and accept the bit quickly.

Inno Sense mouthpieces are considerably softer than metal mouthpieces. This is what most horses like about these bits. If the bit lies on the layers correctly, damage to the mouthpiece is unlikely, but not impossible due to, for example, sharp edges on the teeth.

The Inno Sense Port Medium is made of elastic plastic, harder than the Flexi Soft. The Inno Sense Port Medium is slightly flexible. This mouthpiece has a tongue arch which provides less pressure on the centre of the horse’s tongue.

More tongue freedom is ideal for horses that have a sensitive tongue or horses that stick out their tongue.
